Architecting Identity Management for a Leading UK Broadcaster

A major UK broadcaster needed to overhaul its identity and access management (IAM) platform to implement single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) across 50+ applications. The goal was to improve both security and convenience for over 21,000 staff members, while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Reed Professional Services (RPS) was engaged from the initial planning stages to provide end-to-end systems architecture expertise. Our team of architects and delivery managers were responsible for designing and overseeing the delivery of the new platform, ensuring a seamless transition to business-as-usual (BAU) support.

• Comprehensive Planning: Designed the product roadmap, detailed project plans, and established SDLC processes to streamline development.
• Platform Design & Integration: Delivered workflow and user experience design, identity migration, ID data integration, and SAP HCM integration to ensure compatibility with existing systems.
• Knowledge Transfer: Conducted extensive knowledge-sharing sessions with internal teams to equip them for ongoing platform maintenance and optimisation.

The new IAM platform is now live, providing SSO and MFA across all critical applications. This has significantly enhanced both security and convenience for staff. Our architectural leadership ensured a smooth transition from design to deployment and into BAU support, enabling the broadcaster to benefit from a modern, optimised identity management system.
